May 13,  · [rating/] Notes on Dirty Projectors’ sixth full length album, Bitte Orca, spill out as if dumped from a bucket; they fall one after the other, at a near but not constant rate - avoiding predictability is a mission diofroskicantlenraegibizpnanelantui.xyzinfo yet, amongst flexible time signatures and unpredictable rhythms, each note seems perfectly diofroskicantlenraegibizpnanelantui.xyzinfo the stories about Dave Longstreth’s obsessive work ethic are.

On Dirty Projectors (perhaps the first self-titled album whose eponymous name feels as if it were addressing the project in a separate, past tense), Longstreth makes some of the same strides that he did on Swing Lo Magellan towards reaching a simpler, more common musical vocabulary, negotiating the reality of fame and royalties with his.

Jul 17,  · “For me, the first Dirty Projectors record that I put out was like that, The Glad Fact. But [others] are just song records, there’s no overarching theme. Lamp Lit Prose is the same way.

Sep 29,  · I am curious to hear about the differences between light and deep scratches on a vinyl album. Obviously it is ideal that no scratches exist, but when shopping for used albums I have seen quite a range of damage. I have occasionally picked up albums on the cheap that had clearly visible scratches yet played pop free for the most part.
